Some time ago, at the #Experiences 365 workshops organised by “Turismo y Planificación Costa del Sol”, I met some excellent speakers who encouraged me to take another step in this exciting world of adventure. Following their advice, and always looking for the best for my adventurers, I “dug” into the depths of Andalusia’s beauty to prepare new memorable experiences. Here is a short story about them… and if we take one more step…
Once upon a time in Spain… what if you spent a day hanging from a paraglider, floating over the Costa del Sol with the Mediterranean at your feet? A feeling of freedom that is hard to put into words… and if we take one more step…
But the adventure does not end in the air: after diving in the Mediterranean Sea, we could head inland to discover the interior of the province, just a few kilometres from the Andalusian coast.
Imagine arriving at a typical Andalusian farmhouse, where a local farmer, “a man from the interior” who knows its secrets and traditions, guides you on an adventure for your senses: a walk through the olive groves and orchards of his farm, discovering the classic colours and smells of its flora and inviting you to “touch and feel” each texture… and if we take another step…
At the end of this adventure you will be able to “harvest with your own hands” the seasonal produce of the farm.
You will smell, touch, listen, taste and see a whole world that you probably did not know: different and exciting at the same time… and if we take one more step…
So far our appetite has been satisfied, but perhaps after a day full of water on a canyoning adventure, or an exciting Via Ferrata, you would like to enter a classic pasture (dehesa) in southern Spain and discover how fighting bulls are raised: beautiful, wild animals in their natural habitat, a symbol of Spain.
A local guide will tell us how and why they are raised this way while we drive through fields of olive trees, holm oaks and cork oaks that will host our adventure. Maybe there will be a little surprise at the end… who knows…
