Spainventure Cancellation, Modification and Refund Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

At Spainventure we want you to book your adventure experiences and tourist activities with confidence. That is why we offer a clear and transparent cancellation policy, which distinguishes between activities organised directly by Spainventure and those provided by external suppliers.

The conditions of each booking will be determined in accordance with this policy, the specific conditions of the activity and the applicable regulations.

1. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before

For bookings subject to our standard policy, the customer may cancel free of charge and receive a full refund of the amount paid if the cancellation is requested at least 48 hours before the start time of the activity.

Free cancellation means that no administration fees or penalties will apply for cancelling within that period.

The deadline is calculated using the local time of the place where the activity takes place. For example, for an activity starting on Saturday at 10:00, the cancellation request must be received by Thursday at 10:00 at the latest.

2. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice

When a cancellation request is received less than 48 hours in advance, the booking may no longer be refundable, in accordance with the conditions communicated before the purchase.

For bookings subject to the standard policy, a refund of the amounts paid is not guaranteed for cancellations made outside the free cancellation period.

Activities with particular conditions — for example, tickets, private services, transport or other experiences subject to specific commitments with suppliers — may have different conditions, provided they have been clearly communicated before the purchase is confirmed and are legally valid.

Penalties or additional charges that have not been previously communicated, or that are contrary to the applicable regulations, will not be applied automatically.

3. How to request a cancellation

To cancel a booking, the customer can contact Spainventure through the following channels:

The request must include the booking number, the name of the account holder and the activity booked.

To determine whether the cancellation falls within the free cancellation period, the date and time at which Spainventure receives the request through an authorised channel will be taken into account. Requests sent outside opening hours must be able to show proof of receipt.

Spainventure will confirm receipt of the request and inform the customer of the applicable conditions.

4. Booking modifications

Changes of date, time, participants or features of a booking are subject to availability and to the conditions of the service booked.

Spainventure will try to offer an alternative whenever possible. Any price difference or additional cost must be communicated to the customer before the modification is confirmed.

If the requested change cannot be made, the customer may keep the original booking or request its cancellation under the conditions that apply to it.

A modification will only be considered confirmed when Spainventure expressly communicates it.

5. Bookings of activities provided by third parties

Spainventure markets certain experiences and activities that are carried out by independent suppliers.

In these cases, Spainventure will manage cancellation and refund requests in accordance with the conditions of the booking and the obligations that correspond to each party.

The cancellation policy applicable to each activity must be shown before the customer completes the purchase. If an activity has particular conditions, these must be clearly identified and may not reduce the rights that the law grants to the consumer.

The involvement of an external supplier does not remove the rights that the customer has against Spainventure or against the supplier, depending on the role each one plays and the contract concluded.

6. Cancellations by Spainventure or by the supplier

If Spainventure or the supplier cancels an activity, the customer will be informed as soon as possible.

When the activity cannot take place for reasons attributable to the organiser or the supplier, or when the applicable regulations so require, the customer will be entitled to the remedies provided by law, which may include:

  • A change to another available date, if the customer agrees.

  • An alternative activity, where appropriate and accepted by the customer.

  • A full refund of the amounts corresponding to the cancelled service, where legally applicable.

For bookings that constitute package travel or other tourist services subject to a specific legal regime, the rules of that regime will apply.

7. Weather conditions and safety

Adventure and active tourism activities may depend on weather conditions, the state of the environment and other safety factors.

The decision to suspend or cancel an activity lies with the competent person in charge, in accordance with the conditions of the service and the applicable safety criteria.

If the supplier cancels the activity for weather or safety reasons, the alternatives and refunds that apply under the conditions booked and the applicable law will be offered.

If the activity goes ahead and the customer decides not to attend for personal reasons, or because of a weather forecast that has not led to its cancellation, the cancellation policy of the booking will apply.

8. No-shows and unused services

Failure of the customer to attend at the time and place indicated, without a prior cancellation within the applicable period, may result in the loss of the right to a refund in accordance with the conditions of the booking.

The same may apply when the customer voluntarily leaves an activity or does not use part of the service booked.

These conditions will not limit the consumer’s rights when the service has not been provided as agreed or when there is another legal ground entitling them to a refund.

9. Refunds

When a refund is due, Spainventure will, as a general rule, process it through the same payment method used for the purchase, unless another legally admissible method is agreed.

The time it takes for the amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the bank or the payment method provider.

Refunds will be made within the deadlines established by the applicable regulations and, where applicable, by the specific conditions of the service booked.

10. Right of withdrawal and other legal rights

The possibility of cancelling a booking under our commercial policy is independent of the legal right of withdrawal and of any other rights the consumer may have.

Certain leisure services booked for a specific date or period of performance may be excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal that generally applies to some distance contracts. However, this exception does not apply indiscriminately to all tourist services, nor does it remove the specific rights recognised for package travel.

When a booking is subject to special regulation, the corresponding legal provisions will apply.

11. Applicable law

This policy will be interpreted in accordance with the applicable Spanish and European regulations on consumers and users, tourist services and, where applicable, package travel.

In no case are these conditions intended to exclude or limit rights that are mandatory in nature.
