Discovering Via Ferrata or “Iron Rute” is a short explanation about of this fantastic kind of adventure: Is a climbing route but less difficult than mountaineering. In this modality you progress horizontally or vertically along a sports itinerary that has a life or safety line that is a simple steel cable that helps you to be attached to the wall and you do not run the risk of an accident.
It is an activity that, with less technical & physical complication than mountaineering climbing, offers and allows you to enjoy the sensation of height to reach the end of the stipulated section more relaxed and without major shocks. The material that is installed on the walls of the mountain -Life Line, Steps, Steel Handles- are the ones that give you that comfort and less effort.
The materials that are used in the via ferrata, for the most part, and that you will find along the route can be staples as a ladder or hand-foot supports -with a lower percentage of natural support than in climbing- and that and they will offer support throughout your adventure.
There are materials that provide an “extra beauty” to this fantastic Adventure, in discovering Via Ferrata we explain you a kind of “extrange materials” ofer you they could be the Zip Lines, Tibetan Bridge and Mono, etc., and we consider that to be able to use it and get around it will require more of a mental effort than a physical one.
SAFETY MATERIALS FOR THE VIA FERRATA
To carry out an adventure with the ideal safety conditions we will have to use materials and/or equipment such as The Helmet (essential to prevent damage from any detachment.), The Ferrata or Dissipator Kit, Harness, Gloves, Sports Footwear, Third Bag , etc.
A Ferrata Kit consists of two automatic quick-release carabiners and a heatsink with a sewn strap that absorbs energy and will open in the event of a fall, preventing a sharp blow to it. The material used allows you to rest, hanging on the wall when needed, anchoring to one of these staples by means of a third baga
EASY & EXCITING
In short, we will usually find a kind of ladder with a cable next to it and we will go up along the route using the two “hooks” that the Ferrata Kit represents, placing one on the cable and then the other, to be always subject to two points. When you reach a cable stop, you will have to change the hooks one at a time to move on to the next safety section.
We will always maintain a “safety distance” between one person of the group and another in case there is a fall, a basic but necessary measure to avoid scares: We can always count on the help -and we can enjoy- of the expert monitors who will prepare & explain all the different security steps and the materials that we could find along the via ferrata such as zip lines or different types of bridges.
